CL-415

The CL-415 is a derivative of the piston engine CL-215 which has been in service since world wide since 1970. The aircraft is purpose built and designed specifically for aerial firefighting and is capable of delivering incredible amounts of water to a wildfire in a short period of time. With the modern Pratt and Whitney PW123 turboprop engines, the CL-415 has increased speed, climb rates, efficiency and load. In addition to it’s water scooping ability the aircraft is capable of reloading from conventional tanker bases.

In some countries the CL-415MP (Multi-Purpose) is used for maritime patrol, intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance, and disaster relief.
